About the Bank

Founded in 1995 as a private joint-stock company, the National Bank of Iraq began offering its banking services in Iraq. In 2005, Jordan’s Capital Bank acquired the majority stake in the bank (61.85%), enabling NBI to enhance its products and services and expand its regional and international presence.

The bank provides services through an extensive branch network across Iraq, as well as a branch in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reflecting its commitment to expanding its services and meeting customer needs in various regions.

First: Retail Banking Services

  • Bank Accounts: Providing current accounts, savings accounts, deposit accounts, and certificates of deposit.
  • Personal Financing: Offering a variety of personal loans to meet customer needs.
  • Bank Cards: Issuing credit cards and debit cards.
  • Digital Services: Providing an advanced mobile banking app that allows customers to manage their accounts, make local and international transfers, and control their cards, in addition to services like Western Union transfers and digital loan applications.
